I code-share tra Alitalia e Jet Airways vi portano in India.

9W 747Ancora non s’è messo il punto all’accordo finale tra Alitalia AZ ed Etihad EY ma le presentazioni tra amici comuni, Etihad possiede il 24% di Jet Airways, cominciano a dare frutto. La compagnia indiana Jet Airways 9W, seconda nel subcontinente in termini di mercato e numero di passeggeri trasportati, e quella italiana, hanno annunciato di avere sottoscritto una serie di accordi di code-share che faciliteranno il traffico di passeggeri tra l’Italia e l’India. Il flusso annuo di passeggeri tra Italia ed India è di circa 100 mila unità, il doppio in direzione opposta.

9W già pone il proprio codice sui voli AZ tra Abu Dhabi AUH e Roma FCO, quindi in connessione con Bologna BLQ, Firenze FLR, Napoli NAP, Torino TRN, Venezia VCE e Verona VRN.

AZ pone il proprio codice sui voli 9W da Abu Dhabi AUH verso Mumbai BOM e Delhi DEL, quindi in connessione verso Amristar ATQ, Bangalore BLR, Chennai MAA, Calcutta CCU, Udaipur UDR. Sui voli in code-share è possibile l’accumulo di miglia per i rispettivi programmi di frequent flyer.

L’unico volo diretto tra Italia e India è attualmente quello tra Milano MXP, Roma FCO e Delhi DEL operato da Air India AI.

    I’m really not sure about this codeshare. There isn’t much to gain for Indian customers of Jet. Do you have a list of AZ codes on flights operated by 9W? Also please do take a look at my view on this, here: http://milesandevenmore.blogspot.in/2014/07/alitalia-is-jet-airways-new-codeshare.html

      Hey San, I read your post and I get what you mean. There might be an interest for AZ customers if they have to fly to non-hub airports not served by the AF, LH networks. Still, I don’t like to hop between airports, so I would tend to avoid the AUH stop over.
